Scope of this Standard

This Standard applies to hardened steel nails formed from drawn wire which has been hardened by cold working or heat treatment. It specifies requirements for tensile strength, hardness, ductility, surface finish, and workmanship for hardened steel nails. This standard does not apply to steel nails that have not been hardened.
